NK43: Coupler “Sunless” c45 - SOLD OUT

Ryan Norris’ (Lambchop) second album for No Kings is cosmic in scale, sweeping in emotion. Sunless has the weight and breadth of any classic electronic album, written and recorded with the same mentality and practice. Pulsing, warm waves shaped expertly. Analog synthesis defined, basically. Voice and horn samples recorded to mellotron by Cortney Tidwell, Amy Marcantel, and Matt Glassmeyer. Some of Ryan’s high-string guitar is thrown in the mix as well. One of the most sophisticated and well-crafted albums I’ve ever had the pleasure to release. Edition of 100 pro-dubbed chrome tapes with letterpress and risograph artwork designed by Amy Fortunato & Lee Noble.
Vinyl edition of Sunless will be released on Record Store Day by Russell Cothran’s Made In Canada label. - SOLD OUT -
